Artists Statement

Although quickly making a name for himself as a fashion photographer, it wasn’t until 2014 that Grayson began shooting still lifes and fine art photography. For Grayson, inspiration happens in the moment, both by working the subject and by pushing the camera angles and settings. His still lifes represent ideas of identity. Whether it’s a portrait of a mannequin, a staple in fashion or trash in studio, the idea is not so much the object, itself, but a presentation of the object’s intrinsic qualities.
